When we left our story, Black Gold Saw was about to split Madoka in two with her sword.
There was a sudden flash of light, a crackle, and a whiff of ozone. Another girl appeared between BGS and Madoka with her arms spread between them. The hand pointed in BGS’s direction held a large pistol aimed right between her eyes. BGS dropped her sword and slowly raised her hands.
“This is not your fight,” growled BGS as her sword’s clatter echoed through the empty space.
“No, but that is my friend, who I have sworn to protect” the new girl calmly stated, nodding toward Madoka, “and this is my gun.” BGS grunted, but did not speak.
“Now, you will allow us to leave unharmed and I will grant you the same,” said Madoka’s protector.
“Homura-chan, you came!” cried Madoka.
